about

Edge of Madness is a song about projection and identification, but also about global domination. It's one of the oldest songs of Ankhalimah, and it was written back in 2006. Since then it has changed a lot.

Why does The Edge of Madness unifies the whole album?
Because the song is about the attaining of consciousness by the two “gods” of their nature as “gods”, of their superiority (Ego) in relation to human beings.
At the same time, the song is about their Love and the obstacles that obstruct its fullness.

lyrics

We are like gods upon earth
Why to forgive those we distrust?
Why not to climb god’s throne
And take back the crown that is mine by right?

Must the thorn be slit from the rose for its beauty to be seen?
Is restraint the only path to reach the real freedom?

Love is a razor,
Love is the edge of madness
Drive yourself into
Into the depths of madness

Don't grieve for this long gone past
Go your way and forget mine at last
How's hard to see shadows or light from my side
A caliban mind with fenrir's might

And now, I'll begin to beg
See the mirrors that I shattered
Not to see the beast inside

Love is a razor,
Love is the edge of madness
Drive yourself into
Into the depths of madness

Love is a razor,
Love is the edge of madness
Drive yourself into
Into the depths of madness

Love is a razor,
Love is the edge of madness
Drive yourself into
Into the depths of madness
