For our Best is a song about staying in the present.
The song is about the freeing of Man of all chains, and the search for Light, and don’t giving a fuck.
It’s also about the abandonment of the ego and the (re)fulfillment of the Being.
It was written as an anthem for the band to keep itself together even in the face of the hardest difficulties, being, in that sense, part of the album as a creation but also a metalanguage about the relationship between the band members.
lyrics
I've been bringing the storm over fields
All the roads I follow now are sealed
The wounds I cast now are healed
And now is time
To look back
To look back!
The land is scorched where I touch
All my will here is not enough
In this land of men all is hate and love
And that hurts... And that hurts!
Today is the day to think of the past
No while to put away our masks
The rain is falling and road is fast
All I think... I think...
Is for our best! For our best!
I've been hammering the wall for sometime
I've been drifting the words outta line
We’ve got one chance only to burn and shine
Shine...
Shine!
Our mistakes, you can see, they don't last
No time to waste chances and work in test
No time to think or wait, our die is cast
Is cast... Is cast!
Today is not the day to think of the past
No while to put away our masks
The rain is falling and road is fast
All I think... I think...
Is for our best!
Today is not the day to think of the past
No while to put away our masks
The rain is falling and road is fast
All I think... I think... is for our best!
