Radiant is about the pre-existence, in human mind, of traces fleeing rationality, alluding the writings of St. Anselm around Mens Divina, and imagining the manifestation of these traces in the mind of the creator divinity, using as speech instrument the figure of the Taltos, as described by Anne Rice in The Witching Hour.
This song tells us of a ritual that brought to Earth the “gods” made of the Deity’s unconscious thoughts to Earth in the shape of Human Beings. A ritual with all its details observed, including the sacrifice of virgins and frantic ritualistic songs.
At this moment, these “gods” become conscious of their own situation as individuals and are themselves submitted to the same psychological, sentimental and, to a certain degree, physical conditions that are imposed on humans.
They are, it’s important to say, representatives of the duality that exists in the Deity Himself.
The ritual is also about the transformations of the Being through external influences, and the consequent crafting of the Ego.
The Being depletes itself of its existence and begins to ask questions about the value of the things in itself.
The song also talks about the conflict of ego between the two “gods”.
And yet they discover that they love each other…
